
Process of Buying and Ordering
All prices shown include VAT at the current UK rate currently 20%. We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard, Visa debit and Maestro cards. If you don’t have a credit or debit card, you can pay by cheque.
The Richard Harvey Collection will ask for a 25% deposit upon placing an order and the remainder is payable only when your furniture is ready for dispatch. In the case of specific custom-made (be-spoke) pieces we require a 50% non-refundable deposit. Your complete order will only be dispatched once we receive the full amount of the outstanding balance as cleared funds. We do not make split deliveries.
The contract shall be deemed to have been completed as soon as the furniture has been delivered, at which point the risk of damage or loss of the product shall pass to the buyer.
Delivery Costs
The Richard Harvey Collection offers a delivery service, free to customers within the local area. Delivery charges apply elsewhere and will be agreed at time of purchase.
The Richard Harvey Collection will arrange with you, in advance a ‘2 hour delivery window’. If you accept this window but subsequently fail to be there we will charge an additional cost plus the original delivery charge to re-deliver.
Most items will be delivered by The Richard Harvey Collections own delivery team but occasionally we may opt to send your furniture with a carrier. Our delivery team will deliver, unpack, assemble and position your furniture where necessary.
It is the customers responsibility to move any breakable items from the area of delivery and protect any floors with blankets if you are worried about them being marked.
The Richard Harvey Collection will only deliver to the registered address of the cardholder. If a different address is required this has to be notified to us at the time of placing the order.
Once the delivery team arrive to make a delivery, identification of the cardholder has to be shown before your goods can be unloaded. The cardholder will be required to sign a receipt for the goods.
Delivery Lead Times
The Richard Harvey Collection try to hold many of our most popular items offered on our web-site in stock, which allows us to deliver your furniture within a short timescale. If the item is not in stock, we will keep you informed of the lead time.
The Richard Harvey Collection shall not be liable for any delay in delivery howsoever caused.
Right to Cancel Your Order
You may cancel your order at any time before delivery and The Richard Harvey Collection will give a refund minus any non-refundable deposit.
Returns Policy
Once your furniture has been delivered The Richard Harvey Collection offers a no quibble 7 day return policy. If for any reason you decide that you do not want to keep all or some of your furniture then please confirm to us in writing via e-mail or letter within 7 working days. We will ensure you receive a full refund of the cost of the goods within 30 days. We cannot refund any delivery charges incurred.
Please note that it is not possible to offer the 7 day return policy for items which have been made to order, i.e. the goods were non-stock items and were made for you upon your order.
If you do cancel some or all of your furniture it is the buyers responsibility to return the goods to The Richard Harvey Collection within 14 days. You can make and pay for the arrangements yourself or ask The Richard Harvey Collection to make the collection. The Richard Harvey Collection will charge the original delivery fee (if applicable) plus an additional 55 GBP to make the collection. This charge will be deducted from your refund.
In the event of furniture being returned to The Richard Harvey Collection, we expect the customer to take a ‘reasonable duty of care’ while the furniture is still in your care. The Richard Harvey Collection will only accept the return / collection if the goods are properly packaged in their undamaged original packaging. For self assembly items to be returned, such as a wardrobe, they must be in their original packaging and cannot be returned once assembled or part assembly has taken place.
The Product
Many of the products sold by The Richard Harvey Collection are made from natural materials like wood and leather so every piece is unique and individual. Each piece will vary from each other and so it is impossible to guarantee an exact colour match.
If you believe that the goods you have received from The Richard Harvey Collection are faulty in anyway, please let us know within 48 hours. We will arrange to repair the goods in situ or replace any faulty goods at our cost as quickly as we can. This may mean re-ordering an item of furniture. In the mean time if it is practical you may continue to use the damaged piece of furniture until we have swapped the damaged piece for a new piece.
